NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - VILLAGE OF MORRISVILLE DRAFT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN **

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Master Plan Committee of the Village of Morrisville will hold a public hearing on the draft Comprehensive Plan as prepared by the Committee on August 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Eaton Offices, 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York. This public hearing is a prerequisite to the presentation of the draft plan to the Village Board of Trustees for its consideration.

All interested persons will be heard at this public hearing. The Committee’s draft Comprehensive Plan is available for public inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

PUBLIC NOTICE - VILLAGE OF MORRISVILLE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Morrisville, at a meeting held on March 10, 2016, adopted local law number 2 of the year 2016, entitled, “A local law to amend Chapter 180 of the Code of the Village of Morrisville with respect to rooming houses and functional family units.” This local law amends section 180-8 of the zoning code to amend the existing definition of the term “functional family unit”, adds a new definition of the term “rooming house”, and further provides that rooming houses, as defined, would be permitted uses upon issuance of a special permit in the R-3 and Industrial zoning districts, and also specifies the off-street parking requirements for rooming houses and motels and tourist homes.

The complete text of the local law as adopted is available for review at the Village Clerk’s Office during the Clerk’s regular business hours.
